But Hello 👋 I have a column on my Instagram profile @Gaetano.Donati called #LEMANGIATEDIGAETANODONATI where every week I visit a new restaurant to try their cuisine. This week I went to Giappo Battipaglia for the very first time. It should be noted that I don't like sushi 🍣 especially raw fish and I thought I didn't appreciate Japanese cuisine. Since many people had spoken well to me about this place, I decided (with a bit of perplexity) to go there. As soon as I arrived at Giappo Battipaglia, I immediately noticed the attention to detail in the restaurant. The location is very beautiful and elegant. There are many dishes on the menu (which change every few months). As an “Appetizer” I tried the trio of meatballs with vegetable tempura which were really delicious. Next I wanted to try the fish Ramen 🍜 which made me happy and super satisfied. Really very tasty 😋 and you could feel that the fish was of excellent quality. Afterwards I was attracted to Sale Burgher. A rice burgher with cooked salmon in the middle. The latter really made me fall in love, I loved every single bite more and more (in fact I absolutely want to go back for an encore of this amazing burger) To end this fantastic dinner I chose the Nutella and pistachio Maki which made me even happier and satisfied. A must-try place. Very friendly, courteous and helpful staff.

Cozy and elegant place, courteous staff but despite this we were very disappointed by our experience. Probably already knowing the Giappo chain, we had very (too) high expectations for the opening of the new Battipaglia location. We ordered 5 different types of uranaki, well packaged and with sophisticated combinations but the pieces were excessively small and unfortunately most of these almost without a trace, some of them fish... Final bill slightly higher than average in Salerno... We will hardly return .
